How we measure, and why the numbers hold up

A reading is only worth as much as the method behind it. Here's how we make sure what we record is measured, repeatable and comparable.

The method

  1. Calibrated equipment, checked daily. We run a device readiness check before the first job of the day, so every reading starts from known equipment.

  2. A control reading first. Before we go near the area of concern, we take a neutral control reading, so every result is read against a recorded baseline, not in isolation.

  3. Systematic coverage, not spot-checks. We measure on a set grid across each surface, so coverage is even and repeatable, not a few convenient points.

  4. Like-for-like conditions. We record temperature, humidity and ventilation, and only compare readings taken under matched conditions.

  5. Measured, then verified. After works, we re-measure the same points the same way, so any change is recorded as Verified Improvement, No Measurable Change or Further Monitoring.

  6. Plain-language reporting. Every finding is reported as observed, indicated, monitor, at risk or further investigation required: measured evidence, in words you understand.

That's the difference between an opinion and a measured record.
