MEASURED NEXT-STEP PLAN

Turn the measured record into an ordered next step.

A Measured Next-Step Plan uses an existing Joe Builds assessment to organise what deserves attention now, later or not yet.

It is a planning output. Joe Builds does not carry out the remedial work.

What the plan contains

  • The evidence and locations the plan responds to.
  • What to monitor.
  • What deserves further investigation and by whom.
  • What could be taken to a designer, builder or licensed trade.
  • An order for decisions where sequence matters.
  • A proposed verification plan where a later comparison would be useful.

What the plan does not contain

It is not engineering design, trade design, certification, a fixed construction scope or a promise that a proposed action will create a particular outcome.

Any provider engaged after the assessment remains responsible for their own inspection, design, scope, quotation and work.

When no action is the right next step

Monitoring or gathering another season of evidence may be the useful outcome. Sometimes the current record does not support spending yet.

Start with a walkthrough, not a booking commitment.
