What this assessment does not establish
A Joe Builds assessment is non-invasive. It does not open walls, identify biological material, determine health risk, assess structural adequacy or establish every concealed cause. Does a musty smell tell me where moisture is coming from?
No. A smell can be a useful reason to investigate, but it does not establish the location or cause. Joe records accessible conditions and explains what the combined evidence indicates.
Is one room assessment enough?
It may be when the concern is genuinely limited to one room. When similar signs appear in several rooms, a whole-home Baseline usually provides the more useful connected record.
Can you check behind walls?
The standard assessment is non-invasive and limited to accessible areas. Restricted views through an existing suitable opening may be discussed separately, but concealed areas are not assumed to be assessed.
What should I do before booking?
