Joe Heafey - Director & Builder
Based in Korora
Joe got into carpentry through a genuine love of working outdoors, using his hands, and building with timber. As the founder and Director of Joe Builds, Joe leads the business with a strong focus on build quality, systems, and long-term thinking. He combines hands-on building experience with a drive to push standards higher — integrating Passive House principles, natural and low-tox materials, smart home technology, and thoughtful design to create healthier, more resilient homes.
Outside of work, Joe spends his time adventuring in the outdoors — mountain biking, surfing, cycling — and enjoying live music with his wife and spending time with his daughter.
