Once the wall is closed, your best work is invisible.
We measure the conditions before you start and again when you finish, at the same points, so the change is recorded rather than described.
Ventilation, drainage, sealing, subfloor work. The client cannot see any of it. When they ask whether it worked, you are asking them to take your word for it, and so is every other trade on the quote list.
Run by a licensed builder with nearly 20 years in residential building. Licence 332487C. Based in Coffs Harbour, working Port Macquarie to Yamba.
You are competing against people who say the same words you do.
Every quote says the work will fix it. The homeowner has no way to tell a careful job from a confident one, so price ends up doing the deciding.
And if something is questioned in two years, there is no record of what the conditions were before you touched it. The conversation becomes your memory against theirs.
What changes with a measured record
You hand back a number instead of an assurance. The before readings are dated and mapped to specific points, the after readings are taken at those same points under matched conditions, and the report states what moved and what did not.
Two visits around your program
- Before you start, we measure the conditions and mark the points, so there is a dated baseline of what the house was doing.
- You do the work. We are not on site, not in your way, and not looking over your shoulder.
- When it is done, we come back and measure the same points, on the same gear, with the day's conditions recorded both times.
- The client gets a plain-language report showing before against after, and each area recorded as Stable, Monitor, At Risk or Further Investigation Required.
The client is quoted and invoiced directly. It costs you nothing, there is no account to open and no minimum.
A subfloor ventilation upgrade, measured both ways.
A rural home in the Coffs Harbour region. Baseline 14 April 2026, re-measured 4 June 2026 at the same points.
2,802 ppm to 796 ppm
Subfloor CO₂ down about 72% at the highest point, against a fresh outside air reference of roughly 506 ppm. Recorded as a Verified Improvement.
29.6% MC to 30.0% MC
No Measurable Change at re-test. Timber dries over months, not weeks, and the report says exactly that instead of dressing it up.
The second number is the one that should convince you.
We published a result that did not improve, with our name on it. A report that only ever confirms the work succeeded is worth nothing to the person reading it. This is the reason the first number carries weight.
The questions builders ask
What if the readings make my work look bad?
We report what the instruments recorded. If a reading does not support the work, it goes in the report, and you want it to, because that is the only reason the good results mean anything.
It is rarely that binary. A reading that has not moved usually has a reason, and the report explains the reason rather than leaving a bare number sitting there. The timber above is exactly that case.
If you would rather not read it for the first time in front of your client, talk to us before the report is issued. We will not change a finding, but you will know what is in it.
Do you recommend trades, or take a cut of the work?
No. We name the type of work and the type of professional the evidence supports, and the client chooses who does it. We take no commission on anything that follows.
Will this slow my job down?
The before visit is a few hours and happens before you start. The after visit is the same and happens once you are finished. We work around your dates, and if we cannot hit one we say so rather than holding you up.
Who pays?
The client, directly. We scope it, quote it and invoice it. You are not carrying the cost and you are not marking it up.
What does it cost them?
A Subfloor Assessment or Roof Space Assessment is from $650 inc GST. A single room or wet area is from $825. A whole-home baseline is from $1,815. Before and after verification on a specific system is quoted to the job. All reference prices, assessed before quoting.
We measure and report.
We record conditions at accessible points and report what the readings indicate. We do not open walls, lift floors or cut new access, and we do not provide structural, waterproofing, pest, compliance or mould-species findings.
We do not certify or sign off your work. A measured record is evidence of the conditions before and after, not an approval of the work itself.
Where the evidence supports further investigation, the report explains why and names the appropriate professional pathway.
Bring a job you have coming up.
Fifteen minutes, no cost, no site visit. We will tell you honestly whether measuring it is worth your client's money, and if it is not, we will say so.
